If you are wanting or needing appointments exclusively in your home, you came to the right place. We offer mobile services for an added fee based on travel time. If this is something that you are interested in, we can make it happen!
Holistic prenatal care is vital in pregnancy, both for the health of the baby, as well as the physical, mental and emotional health of the pregnant person. The 1 hour prenatal appointments held at our office allow ample time and space not only for medical checkups on the pregnancy, but also to educate, answer questions, and discuss any thoughts, feelings, concerns, or anxieties that you may be experiencing. Our comprehensive prenatal care offers all of the same tests and lab work that you would be offered in a hospital setting. We make sure you feel comfortable, informed, and confident choosing the screenings and tests that are right for you.
Beautiful Births, LLC follows the standard schedule regarding the frequency of prenatal visits:
From 12-28 weeks we will meet once a month
From 28-36 weeks we will meet twice a month
From 36-birth we will meet weekly
When you're ready, we'll be there! A midwife will be on-call for whenever labor might begin by coming to your home and setting up everything necessary for the birth. We are trained and experienced in many different birth options, so we will happily cater to your preferences and desires. Throughout the labor, we will be regularly listening to baby’s heart tones and checking on the birth giver's vital signs, in order to ensure the health and safety of everyone. We are big believers in the power and importance of skin-to-skin contact between parent and baby, so immediately following the delivery, baby will go straight to parent's chest. As you are bonding with baby, the birth team will work to ensure you can enjoy a clean house with your growing family! The midwife will then stay at your home until everyone's vitals are stable and it is safe to leave.
Although uncommon, if at any time we believe that the safest place for you is the hospital, we will facilitate a transfer of care to the wonderful providers at a local hospital.
Adjusting to life with a newborn can be difficult. We are here to help! Our customized postpartum and newborn care includes in-home visits for the first week, followed by office visits until baby is 6 weeks old. During this important time, we will continue to provide support by answering questions, ensuring you are healing properly, monitoring baby’s growth and development and providing breastfeeding support and coaching.
